South Pacific Seeds is dedicated to improving their production techniques, with the aim of putting ‘science into vegetable seed production’. We have Research Agronomists in all of our production locations who are committed to understanding the crops we produce. Our focus is on field based research where production agronomists, research agronomists and laboratory staff all work together to solve production issues that are current and have immediate benefit to our production program. We also regularly collaborate with independent researchers and industry groups to further enhance our research. SPS is always open to trail new varieties before commencing production.
Our research has helped reduce the incidence of Xanthomonas (Blackrot) in brassicas, as well as other fungal and bacterial issues in other crops along with greatly improved seed quality & yields especially in carrots.
